Phil Thoden serves as the President and CEO of the Austin Chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America. Founded in 1946, the Austin AGC provides services and advocacy for commercial construction companies working in Austin and the surrounding counties. Phil supervises a full-time Chapter staff of four people and has been in this role since 2003.
Phil moved to Austin from Washington, DC, where he had lived and worked since graduating from Georgetown University in 1989. He has worked as a federal lobbyist for the AGC of America and also has five years of experience as a staff member for a United States senator.
When not working, Phil enjoys reading books from the Austin public library, swimming, and cycling. He and his wife Holly keep busy raising three children.
