Kickin' It Old School

Hi there. The Chamberlin Man here.

I'm a bit of a traditionalist.  You might call me a man of a past era (and not just because of my dapper fedora hat).  That's why I am proud to say hard work, perseverance and customer service are values alive and well at Chamberlin.  I relish seeing these sometimes considered “old school” values serving our clients.  Our entire team follows these golden rules, but there are standouts in the crowd.

Jason Gibson is one of those - so much so that he's made a reputation in the industry as a real MVP.   [node:read-more:link]

Eagles Don’t Flock

Amanda Lipford Award

"...You have to find them one at a time." Thanks to Ross Perot for that quote.

Hi there. The Chamberlin Man here.

We aim to soar at Chamberlin, and that's a culture that begins with each and every individual on our team. Suffice it to say we're more than proud of two members of our team who have recently been recognized by our professional peer community as high flyers.

Amanda Lipford, Chamberlin Business Development Manager in our Dallas operation, was awarded the Institute for Real Estate Management's (IREM) Champions Award. This acknowledgement honors outstanding members who have gone above and beyond to promote IREM's values and have proven to be an asset to the organization. Amanda has been a contributing member of IREM since joining Chamberlin in 2011.

Chamberlin Welcomes New CFO

Richard Dyke

Hi there. The Chamberlin Man here.

There's a saying to the effect of, "it's the tightest ships that best make their way through rough seas." I believe it to be true. Don't you? We can all most likely agree there have been some rough seas to navigate in recent years. The real estate and construction industry has struggled along with many others - and the economy as a whole. Gratefully, we're starting to see the tide turn at Chamberlin. There is promising work on the horizon, and my, doesn't the horizon look nice!

Good times or challenging times, the strategy of applying technological resources to better manage our business and add value endures. It's something we strive to do in all areas of our business. After all, knowing and understanding project requirements and effectively managing labor and material costs to deliver a fair, marketable price while at the same time keeping the best crew men and women on board is essential to achieving a balance that will enable companies to motor full steam ahead and meet clients' needs. Façade Access Systems

Hi there.  The Chamberlin Man here.

From time to time I like to share my knowledge with others as a sort of “community service”.  You can't learn everything there is to know in a college course.  So, here is a free nugget of know-how just for you.

Did you know that your facade access systems (used to access the exterior of tall buildings for maintenance, cleaning, or construction) have to be tested and maintained – especially when you are getting ready to perform exterior building maintenance?

Here is an article from some smart cats about that very thing.  Take a gander at it and let me know what you think.   [node:read-more:link]

Who’s THAT Guy?!?

Please allow me to introduce myself.  As the spokesperson for Chamberlin Roofing & Waterproofing, people know me, quite simply, as The Chamberlin Man.  I represent the courteous, professional and trustworthy service our entire team offers each and every day. At Chamberlin we are committed to the values we set in place more than 100 years ago.  Values like diligence, pride, honesty, commitment, loyalty and ingenuity are the guideposts of our work.

Here I am looking rather dapper in a 1940s circular of my "Ten Commandments."  In my day and age it was common for companies to stand for fair, personalized service.  The level of service and the values The Ten Commandments of The Chamberlin Man bring to the job aren’t as common in all businesses today, but they’re still the code that the Chamberlin team lives by, and I encourage you to do the same in your business.

I. Know Your Product, II. Know Your Customer, III. Know Your Market:  Work diligently and take great pride in knowing your products, customers and the market.

IV. Be Honest – Deal With the Facts:  You know honesty is the best policy, so shoot straight with clients.   [node:read-more:link]
